Here we go again. A new diet based on a new Fruit. Lychee, this exotic fruit from China and Southeast Asia, has became increasingly popular in the last few years — showing up in juices and energy drinks, on restaurant menus and mixed in martinis. In fact, the Lychee martini craze is still going strong. So now we have Lichi Super Fruit Diet Pills that claim: • “significant nutrient or phytochemical content and anti-disease properties” • “reduces visceral fat” (belly fat) • “antioxidant, protects against obesity, diabetes, and heart disease” Skeptical at Best Products like this always try to align with research so you’ll believe the products are science-based and the claims credible. Typically there’s some link to research that gets the ball rolling. But just because a food may be worthy of praise, doesn’t mean the pill form of that food has any merit. Lichi Super Fruit Diet Pills doesn’t list any amounts. But Lichi Super Fruit Diet Pills does supposedly provide a full list of ingredients includiing Litchi fruit, Green tea extract, Black walnut hull extract, Clarinol A, Acai fruit extract, betaine hydrochloride USP, Cayenne pepper extract, Oolong tea extract, Black tea extract, White tea extract, Cinnamon bark extract, Magnesium, Polygonum cuspidatum extract, and Peppermint oil. The other ingredients in Lichi Super Fruit Diet Pills are completely unrelated, which isn’t wholly surprising. Lichi Super Fruit Diet Pills is pretty typical of your average superfruit diet pill. What is a Lichi Super Fruit Lifestyle? Other than stock photos of people being active, I honestly do not know. If you can figure it out from the website or from purchasing the product, please leave a comment below.

RightSize claims its’ smoothies contains an “all natural, appetite suppressant clinically proven to knock out hunger.” The active ingredient is a product called Appemine. You must remember that while the word, Appemine, sounds like a drug, it is not. Rather, Appemine is a name the company has given to its proprietary blend of ingredients, a combination of green tea, cinnamon twig, and galangal. A pretty good marketing gimmick. Good enough that I bought some! Generally I like the idea of using a smoothie to help curb appetite, they tend to fill you up while and can, if prepared correctly, contain relatively low calories. This part about being “low calorie” is critical for any weight loss smoothie. Honesty is the Best Policy Weight loss boils down to one thing and one thing only – cutting calories. Any smoothie that is not low in calories is not going to help with weight loss. To their credit, Right Size actually mentions this fact on their website. And they claim that their smoothies contains about 100 calories per scoop so, it’s fairly low in calories. Another reason I like this particular brand is that the people over at RightSize make it a point to let the weight loss consumer know that there is no “magic bullet” for weight loss, and weight loss is a “personal journey” since there really is no “one size fits all” program I like statements that are in line with the facts and I like companies that are down to earth about their products. What Makes RightSize a Good Way to Lose Weight? The shake actually tastes good and it doesn’t have the aftertaste like other shakes. The shake also mixes well with fruit, ice, and anything else deliciously healthy you can throw into a blender. Overall Right Size Smoothies are a quite distinctive addition to the world of dietary products. They just keep it simple.

When I heard about about HCG, I thought, “Losing weight by way of a pregnancy hormone … hmm that sounds kind of out there.” And then I saw the price. Almost $90 for an ounce. Sticker shock is too kind of a description. But, something kept nagging at me, “It sounds so crazy that maybe it will work.” So, I bought a 30 day supply for $90 and looked it over and tried it out for a few days. Did HCG Platinum X-30 Work? The answer is maybe. But I could not go more than 4 days at 500 calories a day (the recommended caloric intake). I felt in between light-headed and alert. Maybe the HCG helped me keep going but I wasn’t enjoying it. So, I stopped using it and tried to get a refund from GNC. That was a no go. I think If you are mentally ready for a 500 calorie day then this product has the potential to drop the pounds quickly. I am not sure if there is enough amino acids in this product to help retain muscle mass so I am not going to say that you will expect to get ripped. Bottom Line HCG Platinum X-30 is not exactly what I was looking for in terms of productive and safe weight loss. Decidedly, anyone using HCG Platinum needs to be ultra dedicated and willing to sacrifice a lot to achieve their weight loss goal.

Setting the Bar Low Fullbar diet bars – the brainchild of weight-loss surgeon Dr. Michael A. Snyder – operate on a pretty simple concept. If you’re full, you won’t eat as much, and if you don’t eat as much, you’ll lose weight. So, you eat two Fullbars a day, 30 minutes before your two biggest meals, and your body will stop you from over-eating. Solid logic, but you could achieve the same benefits with fruit, bran muffins, fiber supplements, or water – all at a much cheaper cost. On the flip side, some of the ingredients in Fullbar are full of high calorie ingredients such as almonds, granola, syrup, and honey. Least to say none of them are helping your waist line much. A Common Active Ingredient The active ingredient in all the bars is fiber, which is what causes you to feel full. Dr. Snyder also recommends you drink 8 oz of water with each bar and the water itself will make you feel full as well. However, fiber can acquired more cheaply and more readily through high fiber foods or dietary supplements and water, well water is practically free. Why Pay More? A two week supply of Fullbars if used as recommended will run you $59.00. That’s like spending almost $112 a month on granola bars. And it gets worse. For better results, the website will entice you to buy a second product called Aquafill. These sugar drink-power packages will cost you $19.99 plus shipping for a lowly 10-day supply. If you just want fiber and lots of it, eat lots of oatmeal.

… The company’s weight loss evidence is based on a “clinical” study (not to be confused with a clinical trial, which is the gold standard for research) done by Hirsch. This study has never been validated, nor published in a peer-reviewed medical journal. The lack of scientific evidence on Sensa, along with a lack of diet and fitness guidelines to accompany the product, raise a red flag for some nutrition experts. “This is not a magic bullet. There is no magic sprinkle. This isn’t even a diet,” says diet and fitness expert, Pamela Peeke, MD. “It oversimplifies the complex physiology and psychology associated with appetite.” She adds that there is nothing unique about the list of ingredients in the tastants. … for more info go to full article at WebMD » The Truth About Sensa

The Setup After drowsily watching a late-night infomercial on how certain smells could make you less hungry, I was intrigued by the product Sensa. During the infomercial, I learned that Sensa was accidentally discovered and then further developed by Alan Hirsch, a neurologist studying the relationships between smell and controlling appetite. Then I learned that Sensa comes in a 6 month supply of tastants (or flakes that you can either sprinkle on any prepared food, which help trigger a sense of fullness). These tastants used exclusively by Sensa can make me feel to curb ones appetite. Plus if I ordered now I could get a special Sensa shaker to help me shake the salty / sweet flavored product on my food. And of course I had to order in the next 10 minutes, so I got my credit card out and started dialing. The lady on the phone said many people like me have already orderd this innovative weight loss product at full price, because all they needed to do to lose weight was to sprinkle this stuff on food like salt or pepper. EASY! But, today was my lucky day. I could get a 30 day free trial. Things were looking up! Later next week I recieved a package and opened it up. The clean white box had almost an Apple iPod-ish type elegance to it. Sensa was here and I had 22 days left to try it out for free. The Straight Talk For the skeptical many Sensa may sound to good to be true, but for those of us with weight issues, it also sounds to good to pass up. Looking into the product and trying it out I found that not the product itself, but the literature and exercises that correspond with the diet helped me lose 3 pounds after the first month. Sprinkling the little things add up to calories burned, but I felt like it was more of a placebo than a working treatment. In essence, reading the literature, provided the common sense to help me lose 3 pounds. It seems, Dr Hirsch started out with some good research and application and then the usual marketing / big money makers got hold of him and along came Sensa which is the big bucks item. Sensa WILL work if you totally believe, but that is pretty much a mental game, which many other gimmicky diet pills play. So, if you are still a believer in Dr. Hirsch’s olifactory weight loss expertise, don’t waste your money or time on the Sensa program – instead get Dr. Hirsch’s first book “Scent-sational Weight Loss.” I find it much more informative and the book tells you how to apply the “weight loss by scent” information without spending all that money on the fancy tastant packaging. The Bottom Line Good News! Dr. Hirsch conducted a clinical study where 1400 participants lost on average 30lbs over 6 months. Bad News! The study was done loosely and didn’t strictly adhere to established...

… desperate dieters may be risking their health to take pounds off with the controversial hCG diet. A fad that started in the 1950s—and is now the latest weight-loss craze—the diet involves daily injections of human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) combined with extreme calorie restriction. Women all over America are flocking to doctors’ offices and weight-loss clinics to shell out up to $1,100 a month for a medical visit, a supply of the hormone, and syringes to inject themselves.> A cheaper version of the hCG diet, heavily promoted on the Internet, uses hCG drops, sprays, or lozenges that claim to be “homeopathic.” Both versions of the diet have sparked medical debate. “This diet is appalling,” Dr. David Katz, director of the Yale University Prevention Center, recently told ABC News. “It takes irresponsible diets to new heights.” Yet Dr. Mehmet Oz has promoted the diet on his popular TV program and declared it “worth a try.” So who’s right—and what’s the medical skinny on the hCG diet? for more info go to full article at Yahoo!
